About Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy

HelloPhysio offers a new treatment option for the regeneration and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders through Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy using MAGENTOLITH®. While EMTT Therapy uses a different operation mechanism than Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), the two modalities are highly effective.

EMTT Therapy is a novel technology developed by Storz Medical in Switzerland that offers increased treatment possibilities for many musculoskeletal ailments, including bone, tendon, muscle, nerve, and ligament injuries or disorders throughout the body.

This revolutionary treatment helps to enhance the natural healing process of musculoskeletal conditions by using high oscillation frequencies, allowing for deep penetration. It is a non-invasive, state-of-the-art therapy with many therapeutic applications. By targeting the painful areas of the body, EMTT Therapy can achieve a therapeutic effect in the cell due to the pulse Intensity. This evidence-based treatment Is an outpatient procedure that is easy to use, has a high level of patient comfort, and has no side effects.

Effective Treatment for Musculoskeletal Conditions

The clinical research behind EMTT Therapy has shown it is an effective treatment for speeding up the natural restorative processes of tendons, bones, nerves, and lower back pain. MAGETOLITH treatment functions by creating an electromagnetic pulse that can penetrate up to 18cm into the body, allowing for the treatment of even deep tissue layers.

This innovative treatment technology allows for painful areas of the body to be targeted with high-energy magnetic pulses at a therapeutically effective frequency range. EMTT Therapy helps to activate the metabolism and revitalize the surrounding treatment area to stimulate self-healing further. The afflicted area can be treated via energy transfer from the applicator using the generated energy.

The MAGNETOLITH can treat various musculoskeletal diseases, including degenerative joint diseases, pain therapy, and sports injuries. The musculoskeletal diseases for treatment specifically include:

  • Osteoarthritis, also known as degenerative joint disease, is the most common form of arthritis, affecting millions of people worldwide, according to the Mayo Clinic. The disorder commonly affects joints in conditions in the spine such as herniated disc or spondylarthrosis (vertebral joints) and signs of wear and tear (e.g., arthrosis) of the knee, hip, hands, shoulder, or elbow.
  • (Chronic) pain or pain that remains constant and persists for three months or longer despite the use of medications or pain management treatments. Chronic pain may include lower back pain, lumbalgia, heel pain, tension, or radiculopathies (nerve root pain).
  • Sports injuries or the inflammation (at times persistent and chronic) of the tendons and joints, tendon overuse syndromes, or inflammation of the pubic bone (osteitis pubis).

Treatment sessions using the EMTT technology range from 5 to 20 minutes. Typically, 6 to 8 sessions are required based on the severity of the condition and the response to the therapy. Patients will remain fully clothed during the treatment, as direct skin contact Is unnecessary. EMTT treatment can positively impact chemical reactions in pathologically altered cells by reactivating cell metabolism and normalizing physiological processes.
