Liam Mc Ginley, from Ireland, has more than twelve years of experience in Singapore. He graduated with a Master’s in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University (Edinburgh, Scotland) in 2012. Liam specializes in treating shoulder, knee and foot/ankle injuries. He has extensive experience treating sporting injuries and post-surgery rehabilitation of the shoulder, knee, and ankle. Liam also has extensive experience treating children, having spent two years working in pediatric care at Singapore’s KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Liam joins our team after serving as a Clinical Manager. Before moving to Singapore, he worked in the NHS in Scotland. During his time in the UK, Liam also worked with professional football academy teams. Liam’s treatment sessions combine patient education, evidence-based manual therapy and Hello Physio’s state-of-the-art equipment, including INDIBA radiofrequency and focal and radial Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy. These modalities enhance tissue healing, helping patients recover faster and return to pain-free sport and movement. He also tailors individualised home exercise programs to help patients move better and feel stronger.
Liam has extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation, including arthroscopic shoulder (rotator cuff and labral repairs), knee (ACL reconstruction, meniscectomies), and ankle (Achilles tendon reconstruction and Broström repair) procedures. During his years working in private practice, Liam has specialised in treating the sporting population. This includes injuries from football, golf, the gym, and running, among many other sports. He understands how frustrating injuries can be and how much people want to return to sport as soon as possible. Liam regularly treats many office workers, and he has a keen interest in workstation ergonomics. From his experience, workstation set-up can play a big part in patients’ neck, shoulder and low back pain. Liam conducts workstation assessments and provides detailed advice and recommendations to improve your posture, reduce pain, and increase productivity.
Liam has always been an avid sports enthusiast and has been involved in competitive sports since a young age. He plays Gaelic football (Irish football), soccer, and golf and enjoys running and going to the gym. In his free time, Liam loves relaxing and spending time with his wife and young son.
