Your appointment at the Raffles clinic

The first visit usually includes a discussion and physical assessment. Depending on your symptoms, the physiotherapist may assess movement, strength, joint mobility, gait, balance or nerve function.

The findings guide the recommended plan. The physiotherapist will explain whether physiotherapy seems suitable, what rehabilitation may involve, and when a medical review may be advisable. Treatment or prescribed exercises may begin when appropriate.

If you are attending after surgery, bring the surgeon’s instructions and any relevant reports. For a sports or movement-related problem, bring the footwear or equipment that may help the assessment, if your physiotherapist requests it.
