Karen Yu has a rich background in treating musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries. With a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honors) from Curtin University in Australia and a Bachelor of Arts from Oxford University, Karen brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and academic excellence to her practice.
Karen’s journey has included diverse experiences across inpatient and outpatient settings in Singapore and Western Australia. Particularly, her role as a sports trainer with the Kalamunda Rugby Union Club in Western Australia has honed her skills in managing sports injuries and enhancing athletic performance. Her interests are broad, including musculoskeletal neck and back pain, pre- and postnatal care and rehabilitation, and a wide range of sporting injuries.
Karen is committed to educating her clients about injury prevention and management to facilitate a swift return to an active lifestyle. She is passionate about holistic client care and enjoys guiding clients toward their wellness goals through manual therapy and Pilates-based exercise.
Beyond her clinical work, Karen is an all-around athlete who enjoys tennis, running, snowboarding, touch and contact rugby, and aerial arts. Her diverse athletic background enriches her understanding of clients’ needs, making her a versatile and empathetic practitioner.
