Deryl holds a Master’s in Physiotherapy from La Trobe University and is deeply committed to helping people return to what they love most. After 9 years in Melbourne, she has recently moved back to Singapore.
She has extensive experience treating musculoskeletal conditions throughout the body, but in recent years has developed a subspecialty in hand therapy. Her passion grew from her interest in the intricacies of upper-limb anatomy and from seeing the direct impact hand therapy can have on someone’s life.
Hand injuries are also especially common in her current sport, with 17 years in sport climbing and 24 years in golf, respectively. She was a hand therapist in Melbourne and a member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association, specializing in the upper limb and is able to fabricate custom splints as required.
She has competed in international sport climbing, representing Singapore, and has personally experienced and witnessed the impact of upper-limb injuries on climbers’ lives. She will support the Australian team as their physiotherapist at the World Youth Climbing Championships in Arco, Italy, in 2026.
Deryl strives to help patients return to pre-injury function, or above. Whether that’s work, sport, or anything else that matters to them. Deryl enjoys staying up to date with the latest research and developing tailored rehabilitation programs for her patients. She endeavours to keep you active while you recover from an injury.
Outside of work, you’ll find Deryl at a climbing gym, playing golf, doing pottery, snowboarding, gymming, trail running, coaching climbing or binge-watching Netflix!
